Bombshell the Surprise Rock Bouncer Build

Bombshell Rock Bouncer Build

We have gotten to be a part of some pretty cool stuff in our 8 years of filming the sport of rock bouncing. Nothing compares to documenting the gift of a rock bouncer. The guys over at CSC Fabrication in Cave Springs, Georgia have been working on a top secret rock bouncer build for Jerod Yankey for a few month. Jerod is building this one off rear engine machine for his Girlfriend Shannon. Wow talk about making the rest of us look bad, am I right? The build features a rear engine LS1 corvette motor, th400 transmission, 3.0 Atlas transfer case, custom 14 bolt axles and 43″ Tires on custom beadlocks. Jerod spared no expense on what he calls Bombshell.

The Surprise

Once the build was complete we got the call to meet the guys at CSC Fab at a local restaurant where Jerod would unveil this one of a kind buggy. We loaded up our cameras and were on our way. We puled up in the parking lot where the buggy was hidden in an enclosed trailer and got setup to capture the moment. Jerod walked Shannon around the corner of the trailer as they cranked up bombshell and lowered the door. She was unbelievably stoked to see here brand new rock bouncer and was jumping around like a kid with a huge smile on her face. It was a good day to be camera guy and we were happy to be a part of the surprise. They left with the buggy and went straight to the nearest off road park try it out.
